Matt Hardy will wrestle in his first GCW match the night before WWE SummerSlam.
GCW has announced Hardy as the headliner for the Now and Forever Event, which will take place on Friday, 2 August in Cleveland. A social media post promoting a card revealed the news.
The August 2 show will also feature Zilla Fatu and Josh Bishop, as well as Mance Warner, Joey Janela, Maki Itoh, Nick Gage, Matt Cardona, Gringo Loco, and Bussy.
Hardy left AEW in April this year when his contract expired. He appeared in TNA on April 20 at Rebellion and was immediately inserted to the top of the mix. He challenged Moose for TNA World title on June 14 at Against All Odds.
Matt and Jeff, who once competed for the TNA title have reunited in TNA as a tag-team, including competing for the Tag Team titles of the company on Impact, which will air this Thursday.
Hardy also revived Broken Universe in TNA programming and faced The System at The Hardy Family compound on Impact last month.
