Rhea Ripley threw out her challenge for SummerSlam.
Liv Morgan interrupted Dominik Mysterio as he tried to reconcile Ripley with Dominik at the beginning of Monday’s Raw. She said that at first, she didn’t understand what Ripley was seeing in Dominik but after spending time with him, it all became clear to her. Ripley said that she waited for three months to do this, and then set up the SummerSlam challenge on August 3. Morgan said that she knew this was the endgame, so she will not run. However, she is not the same Liv Morgan, and she accepted Ripley’s challenge. She also hoped Dominik could be there.
Dominik tried to reconcile with Ripley for a show-long storyline, but mostly without success. He finally got a match, and he claimed that Jey Uso was talking to Ripley. Morgan intervened during the match, and Dom was put in a compromising situation, going for a smooch when Ripley appeared, causing Morgan bail through the audience. Ripley told Dominik backstage after he won that she doesn’t really belong to anyone but Dominik.
Ripley was out of action for 3 months after she suffered an injury in a backstage incident with Morgan. She had to give up the Women’s World Title. She returned on Raw last week, interrupting Dominik & Morgan as they celebrated their mixed tag-team win in the ring.
Morgan, in the wake of Ripley’s absence, has been trying to seduce Dominik, as part of her “revenge tour” against Ripley who injured Morgan last year.
