Cary Silkin claims Tony Khan is not being very fair to ROH in todays Wrestling news

The former owner of Ring of Honor believes that the promotion is not being handled well.

Cary Silkin and John Arezzi discussed the current ROH era in a recent episode from his Mat Memories podcast from Madison Square Garden. Silkin was the owner of ROH from 2002 to 2011, and then served as its ambassador until Tony Khan took over ownership in 2022.

Silkin was talking about the Ring of Honor product from the late 2000s when he said that the current Ring of Honor is an afterthought.

Silkin said, “Ring of Honor of the era tried showing some respect to professional wrestlers.” ‘Sure, there was some wacky crap. Sure, we had a flippy-dippy hairstyle… that was in fashion, but, you know, Edouard Carpentier was also wearing it.

Ring of Honor, that was some good pro-wrestling going on but right now it’s like nobody cares. I don’t really care how much Tony Khan makes. It’s being treated very badly.”

Silkin’s comments occur late in the June 28, 1974 edition of the show. The show discussed the June 24, 1975 WWWF show at Madison Square Garden. Below is the full episode.
