The first-ever AEW title holder will have a chance to regain the title in the future.
PAC earned the opportunity on Wednesday’s Dynamite by winning a four-way match called “Global Glory”. He beat Tomohiro Ishii (against Claudio Castagnoli) and Kyle Fletcher. He will face either Will Ospreay, the current champion, or MJF in the 250th episode next Wednesday.
PAC won the match by submitting Fletcher in a bout which saw many near falls, big movements and submission attempts.
PAC then took to the microphone, saying that since his return in March, he had “made many bold claims and suffered many humiliating defeats”, but it was All In season, and “the Bastard wouldn’t be denied his Wembley Moment.” I promise that tonight will be a turning point. The Bastard is coming back.”
It was not stated if he would be able to take part in August’s All In, which will be held at London’s Wembley Stadium. He was injured and had to miss his debut show.
PAC won the first All-Atlantic Champion title in June 2022. The title was later changed to International in March 2023. He held it for seven times and defended it on seven occasions. Finally, Orange Cassidy won it in an October edition of Dynamite.
