Tyler Bate underwent surgery on Monday.
Michael Cole announced during Raw that Bate would be out of the action “for a while” after sustaining an injury in the July 2 episode WWE NXT. Bate revealed on Instagram yesterday that he had surgery for a torn rectus muscle.
“I tore my left pectoral & tendon from the bone last weekend at NXT.
The surgery yesterday was successful. All has been returned to its rightful place.
Please don’t miss me. I will be away for a while to recover.

Last week, Bate and Dunne beat Tank Ledger & Hank Walker on NXT. Dunne appeared on Raw Monday to wrestle Bronson Reed. Reed continued to assault Dunne after the match until Sheamus appeared to save him. Dunne pushed Sheamus aside after the commentary team discussed the history of their time together in the Brawling Brutes.
