Ethan Page is pleased with the organized atmosphere in his new pro-wrestling home.
Page made his WWE NXT debut on May 28th. Page was asked to describe his debut for WWE on the Talk’n Shop Podcast by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Page described WWE as a machine and said it was a far cry from the “chaotic” and “unorganized” environment he experienced in AEW.
“Pretty crazy. Page said, “I went from a place where it was chaotic and unorganized, to a place — I mean, I’m learning because I’m so new here, I’m just like, this machine is incredible.” “It’s nice to not have to do everything by myself, or to have people who want to see me succeed. It’s mind-blowing.”
Page always dreamed of being in WWE. Page listed Randy Savage as one of his favorite wrestlers growing up.
Page left AEW/ROH in May, and reportedly wanted out as early as February. He spoke to Talk’n Shop to explain why he decided to leave AEW.
Page said, “It was time to go.” “I thought — I could either sit in catering for three years and my job would end or I try to do something before my professional career ends [laughs]. “And here we are.”
Page claimed that after leaving AEW he received a random call on a layover in which he was offered the NXT contract. He initially didn’t believe it until he received a follow-up phone call.
Page has been a part of the NXT Championship since his debut. Trick Williams defends the title this Sunday (7 July) against Page, Je’Von Evans and Shawn Spears.
