The AEW Rampage on Friday will feature Mariah May vs. Hikaru – a match that could determine a place in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Finals.
May defeated Saraya in her quarterfinal match at AEW x NJPW Zero Hour, earning her a place in the semi-finals. Shida beat Deonna Purrazzo last week in a quarterfinal bout on Collision, setting up her semifinal matchup with May.
The winner of May vs. Shida will face Willow Nightingale in the finals of AEW Dynamite next week in Calgary. Nightingale, who won the 2023 tournament, defeated Kris Statlander in this week’s Dynamite. She will now advance to the finals.
Rush will also face Komander in Friday’s Rampage. Rush teased a partnership with Don Callis, the Don Callis Family and Collision last week during a segment on the backstage.
Kyle O’Reilly will face off against GPA, as well as Konosuke Takashi & Kyle Fletcher. Private Party will also be on the show.
The Friday, July 5 AEW Rampage is being taped Wednesday night, July 3 in Chicago at the Wintrust Arena. The card for the show:
