WWE is preparing to release its WrestleMania40 behind-the scenes documentary after a long delay.
WrestleMania: Behind the Curtain, originally scheduled to premiere on WWE YouTube on April 10, three days after WrestleMania ended, was delayed. The documentary was delayed because WWE was still reviewing the massive amount of footage shot during WrestleMania.
Nearly three months after its initial release, Behind the Curtain is finally premiering on YouTube next Wednesday, July 3, at 7 pm Eastern time. Paul “Triple H’ Levesque gave a sneak peek at the documentary today by posting its first two minute on social media.
The narration of Behind the Curtain comes from Fox Sports reporter Tom Rinaldi. It documents the change WWE made to the WrestleMania night two main event. The WWE changed the match to Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, after fans rejected the idea that The Rock would replace Rhodes. The Rock turned heel at WrestleMania for the first time since decades, joining forces with Reigns and Seth Rollins to take on Rhodes & Seth Rollins.
The Rock pinned Rhodes during that tag match, and he may be a future contender for Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship.
The Rock’s production firm, which Brian Gewirtz now works for, explained why Behind the Curtain’s release was delayed.
Gewirtz said, “There’s an awesome documentary that WWE… The Rock doesn’t hold hostage until every frame has his approval… Jesus.” “But I think it was a mistake to promote it so early because it wasn’t finished. This was a mistake. This was a document that I believe went from 11 to 45 minutes. Now it’s more than an hour. It’s awesome and will be released in some form very soon, according to my understanding.”
WWE releases the first two minutes from WrestMania 40 documentary in todays Wrestling news, Chatalong Chatbox, Results will be Hidden inside a spoiler Button so you will not bet spoiled about direct results.
