Seth Rollins discusses his return.
Rollins, who took a break after WrestleMania forty, appeared on Raw last week and was quickly given a World Heavyweight Championship Match against Damian Priest next weekend at Money in the Bank. Rollins told ComicBook Nation he had some weeks notice before returning.
“A little fluctuation. Yeah, I had some weeks notice,” he said. “We looked at the timeline and the story to see where I would fall back into place. You never know what will happen.” The top of the Raw card is pretty stacked. You have guys like Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre. CM Punk, whenever he’s available, Gunther, who’s waiting in the wings, etc. So it’s stacked. It was interesting to see where my place could be.
“The time was right after a big event overseas, Clash At The Castle in Scotland. It was ripe to be picked, man. Damian Priest was looking for a challenger so I jumped right in,” he said.
Rollins wrestled two times at WrestleMania, first losing the World Heavyweight Title to Drew McIntyre on the first night, and then losing the title with Cody Rhodes the second night. He took a break to recover from the torn meniscus he suffered earlier this year.
