Jim Ross, the legendary “Voice of Wrestling”, and AEW announcer, has been hospitalized again due to difficulty in breathing.
Ross posted a status update on X Tuesday, noting that he had made a second trip to the ER just over a week after being hospitalized for difficulty breathing.
Ross wrote:
“Another trip back to the ER.” Breathing difficulties. Most likely an overnight stay. “I’ll be fine. Let’s fight!”
Ross was admitted to hospital on May 23, due to shortness in breath. He revealed in an episode of the Grilling JR podcast, that he was diagnosed with a viral infection but was on his way to recovery.
Ross, a WWE Hall of Famer, has faced many health challenges in 2024. The 72-year old AEW commentator underwent multiple surgeries this past year, including one for skin cancer on his hip.
Ross’ participation in the AEW x NJPW Pay-per-view Forbidden Door this Sunday is now in doubt following his hospitalization. Ross’s last appearance on commentary was at AEW Dynasty PPV in April.
