The long-delayed WrestleMania documentary has a new premier date.
Triple H announced Monday on social media that ‘WrestleMania: Behind the Curtain will premiere on YouTube on July 3 at 7pm ET.
Triple H wrote, “The Road to WrestleMania XL is all about finding the magic in the chaos,” on X. “Now…we show you how it really went down. WrestleMania: Behind the Curtain premieres on July 3 at 7pm ET exclusively on the @WWE YouTube channel.”
The documentary was originally announced for a release on April 10, just days after a two-night premium event. The film was never shown, and no reason was given. Brian Gewirtz, a former WWE headwriter and current executive of The Rock’s Seven Bucks Production Company, denied in May that Rock was to blame for the delay.
He said, “There’s an awesome doc, believe it or no, that WWE…The Rock doesn’t hold hostage until he approves every frame… Jesus,” on The Ringer Masked Man Show. “But I think it was a mistake to promote it so early because it wasn’t finished. This was a mistake. This was a document that I believe went from 11 to 45 minutes. Now it’s more than an hour. It’s awesome and will be released in some form very soon, according to my understanding.
The Rock, Triple H and Cody Rhodes are among those featured in the trailer.
