Mercedes Mone was on Friday’s CMLL event in Arena Mexico to face her AEW x NJPW forbidden door opponent Stephanie Vaquer.
Vaquer defeated La Catalina to retain the NJPW Women’s Strong Championship. Then Mone entered the show for a confrontation which turned physical.
Mone promised that she would defeat Vaquer at Forbidden Door in their title-for title bout. Vaquer responded by telling Mone to learn Spanish because she was in Vaquer’s house before vowing to include the TBS title in her collection.
Both men exchanged a few punches, before being separated. Mone briefly held Vaquer’s NJPW Strong championship before throwing it to Vaquer.
