Jacob Fatu made his WWE debut.
The long-awaited WWE debut of the son of The Tonga Kid, cousin to Solo Sikoa, and The Usos took place on Friday’s SmackDown. He teamed up with The Bloodline and attacked Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens.
The advertised SmackDown Main Event was Rhodes vs. Sikoa, but the match ended in a DQ when Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa jumped Rhodes. Orton and Owens came in to save the day, but Fatu made her debut and gave The Bloodline a numerical advantage. The babyfaces were beaten.
Fatu, 32, is a 12-year veteran on the independent scene. Fatu’s robbery conviction as well as his stint in prison as a teenager were often cited by WWE as reasons why they had not signed him, despite the fact that his heritage and lineage made him a natural for The Bloodline storyline.
Several sources claim that Fatu has been with WWE since April. He completed an MLW stint in March.
