According to a report, WWE is close to signing a multi-year agreement that would bring three signature events to Lucas Oil Stadium Indianapolis.
WrestleVotes reported that WWE and Indiana Sports Corp were close to signing a multi-year deal that would bring future WrestleManias, future SummerSlams, and the Royal Rumble of 2025 to Indiana. WrestleVotes reports:
“WrestleVotes exclusive: I’m informed WWE & Indiana Sports Corp are close to a multi-event agreement, starting with the Royal Rumble 2025 at Lucas Oil Stadium, on Saturday, 1st February 2025. The deal will likely include future WrestleMania and SummerSlam events, which will both be held at Lucas Oil Stadium.
WWE has already announced Las Vegas to be the host city of WrestleMania 2025. Minneapolis will host the first SummerSlam two-night event next year.
Indianapolis hosted SummerSlam 2008 and WrestleMania VIII in 1992. The state has not hosted a Royal Rumble.
Since its opening in 2008, Lucas Oil Stadium has been the home of the NFL Indianapolis Colts. The venue has previously hosted the NCAA Final Four and Super Bowl as well as the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
