Max Caster & Anthony Bowens, of The Acclaimed, defeated Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson, of The Young Bucks in a Tag Team title elimination bout on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamics to earn a shot at the belts.
No date has yet been set for a future title match.
The Acclaimed, former Tag Team Champions held the belts from September 2022 until February 2023 for 140 days.
The Young Bucks have just begun their third reign as AEW tag team champions after winning the vacant titles at Dynasty, in April, in a ladder-match against FTR.
Since the AEW Tag Team division was founded in 2019, 11 teams have won the titles in total, across 14 reigns.
