CM Punk hopes to be cleared by the end of this week.
Punk revealed that he had been given permission to skip Monday’s Raw from Corpus Christi in Texas to be cleared in Chicago. He said that he would be on Friday’s SmackDown with hopefully good news.
“I can tell that my arm feels fantastic,” he said. “I got the permission to skip Raw Corpus Christi and go home to Chicago in order to see my doctors, with the hope that I would be cleared. I don’t think I should say that…I believe SmackDown will be in Chicago next weekend, so. I’m a Raw fan, so I’m not going to watch Raw. I’m just going to get cleared and then I will show up at SmackDown to let everyone know the good news.
Punk required surgery after he sustained a triceps tear during the Royal Rumble match. He has continued to feud with Drew McIntyre despite losing the World Heavyweight Championship that he won at WrestleMania forty to Damian Priest. In their rematch on Saturday at Clash at Castle, Punk wore a referee shirt to distract McIntyre, and ultimately cost him the match.
