The ROH Pure Championship is being defended at AEW Rampage.
Tony Khan announced today on social media that Katsuyori will Shibata defend his title on tomorrow’s show against former champion Wheeler Yuta.
Khan wrote:
Shibata and Yuta, who both won Pure Rules yesterday on ROH will face off in a special Saturday Rampage before Collision tomorrow!
There are no other matches or segments announced for the show.
This will be Shibata’s second singles match, and Yuta’s third overall match. Shibata defeated Yuta in March for the Pure Championship of Supercard of Honor. Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Kingston defeated Shibata and Shibata at All Out on 3 September.
AEW Rampage is airing at 7 p.m. Eastern Time tomorrow, rather than its usual Friday time slot of 10 p.m. This is because TNT will be covering the NHL tomorrow night.
Rampage and Collision are both broadcast from the Petersen Events Center, located in Pittsburgh, PA. Collision airs at its regular time slot at 8 p.m., immediately after Rampage.
