Ric Flair blames the ‘Three Headed Monster’ for WCW’s demise in todays Wrestling news
Ric Flair blamed “A Three-Headed Monster” for the demise of WCW on social media, following Vice’s new documentary on the subject.
In a recent post on X.com, Flair stated that he tried to “lay low”, regarding ‘Who Killed WCW? ‘, but that he blames former Executive Vice President Jim Herd, Senior Vice President Eric Bischoff and Head Writer Vince Russo, for the demise of the wrestling promotion.
Flair is a writer.
“I’ve tried to keep quiet about this but let’s face it- who killed WCW? It’s a Three-Headed Monster. Jim Herd, @EBischoff, And @THEVinceRusso!!! There is no individual wrestler or faction that caused anything to kill WCW. It was the people in charge who created dysfunction, anger, and tried to divide and conquer by lying to everyone, and involving themselves in the promotion which was a failure! I could give you a thousand more examples. I Was One Of The Few To Survive All Three Nightmares, And Be Saved By @WWE! Thank You To WWE For Bringing Someone Back To Life Who Was Dead In Water As A Results Of These Three People!”
Russo replied to Flair on social media with his own post.
“Looks like the Nature Boy is hitting that RUM CANDY again!” Thank you for giving me so much credit. What kind of writer could bring down a multi-million dollar company with just a few words on a page? I guess I was really Special. Rick, it’s not my fault that you weren’t in Doc. Sorry, man. I hope you don’t think that my excessive use of David and the rest of Your Family, who were all GREAT by the way–was the Knife which drew Company’s last blood. Yeah–I also failed at Laying Low.”
Flair replied to Russo and then proposed a summit where he would each pay $20,000 to appear. He would sell tickets and possibly produce the event as a pay-per view to “hash out this issue”:

I’d give you $20k, @EBischoff, $20k and Jim Herd each $20k in advance to show up in Tampa or Atlanta. I’ll rent the venue in Tampa or Atlanta, it will sell out for sure, so we can hash this out.
