Arn Anderson hasn’t talked to Cody Rhodes regarding a possible reunion in WWE.

Last month, Rhodes made headlines when he appeared at Busted Open Radio. He said that he may be looking for a “classic wrestling manager” by his side. Anderson revealed the following week on his podcast that Anderson’s AEW contract had expired on May 31, according to his podcast. Many fans thought that Rhodes was hinting at a reunion between Anderson and WWE, given the timing of Rhodes comments and Anderson contract expiring.

Anderson was a guest at Busted Open Radio last Friday, and he was asked if he would manage Rhodes again. He replied that he would do everything he could to help his son Brock Anderson get established in the industry.

Anderson replied, “Well, just in case you didn’t know, my liver is 127 and I am 65.” “I’m on short-time, and I don’t have much time on the planet or in business. I will dedicate whatever time I have to help my son Brock who is just starting out, get a job with a company, establish himself and get him to a place where he can earn a living and contribute to the company that uses him. “That’s what I will dedicate any time I have left to.”

He said he wasn’t sure if he was going to return for a brief reunion with Rhodes.

“Would it be possible to come back with Cody in a short-term situation? I don’t think it’s a great idea. It would be interesting because he and me have never had this conversation,” Anderson continued.

Anderson said that he had recently contacted Rhodes via text to check on Brandi Rhodes’s health, who underwent surgery for stage 4 endometriosis in the last month. The topic of reuniting the act never came up.

“After (Rhodes comments about wanting to be a manager) blew-up just a few weeks ago, or whatever it was from your guys’ show, it was like, “Okay, this guy is coming back.” And I sent him text, his wife was ill, and asked how she was. I also asked how he, and asked, ‘Everything okay?’ We had a few texts back and forth, and it never came-up. I thought maybe he was testing the waters when he said that, but I’m not certain. I was flattered by his words, but they were all true. That’s how I handled Cody. ‘”

Rhodes’ comment about wanting a “classic manager” came shortly after the contract signing segment that he did on SmackDown With Logan Paul. He said that he had been a bit jealous of Paul’s entourage.

“I would have loved my dad to be around me for the same reasons that I enjoyed having Arn around me.” I will tell you that I am lucky, I will tell you about my hard work, and how grateful I feel. That’s true. Rhodes replied, “It was nice to hear someone over my shoulder say the same thing you did.” “Say ‘We are not apologizing to greatness.’ Mediocrity is a company that we will not join.

Rhodes continued, “It’s something I missed when Logan and me were doing this contract sign-up, to see him flanked with so many people.” “I don’t know, perhaps I’m searching for the classic wrestler manager to join me in this title reign.”
