TNT Championship qualifier added to AEW Dynamite in todays Wrestling news
AEW Dynamite has added a TNT Championship qualifier match.
Dustin Rhodes and Jack Perry will meet after Rhodes called Perry out on this week’s AEW collision. Rhodes, who had just defeated Johnny TV, called out Perry and said that he would have been happy to see Perry in AEW if he hadn’t beaten up Tony Khan. He said that Perry was a mediocre leader because he followed rather than led. Rhodes announced the match and told Perry that he was going to destroy him.
The match was announced later as a TNT Championship qualifier, with the winner advancing into the ladder match to crown a new champ at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Perry won the AEW Double Or Nothing match by pinning Bryan Danielson. Since then, Perry has focused on winning the TNT title. He congratulated Mark Briscoe for his qualifier victory on Dynamite, but insisted he would be next champion.
