Davis said that PFL was now a global MMA powerhouse. “Our Bellator purchase turbocharges PFL’s mission to innovate and become an industry co-leader.”
Peter Murray, CEO of the PFL, said that the combined PFL-Bellator fighter roster is second to none in MMA. “We are excited to bring MMA enthusiasts what they’ve been asking for – the best vs the best with the PFL Champions vs Bellator Champions Mega-Event.”
Davis teased on social networks that a champions-vs.-champions event could happen in 2024
Ariel Helwani reports that Bellator will continue to operate under the Bellator brand, with shows primarily taking place overseas.
SRJ Sports Investments purchased a minority stake in the PFL this summer. The company was created earlier this year by Saudi Public Investment Fund with the goal of bringing high-profile international events to Saudi Arabia.
