Will Ospreay defends the International Championship against Rey Fenix at the Wednesday, 12th AEW Dynamite.
The match for the following week was officially announced on Wednesday’s Dynamite when Fenix beat a four-way match of number one contenders that included Jay Lethal and Orange Cassidy. Fenix pinned Lethal, setting up the title match.
Ospreay, who holds the International title in addition to the AEW World Championship, will face Swerve Strickland at Forbidden Doors on Sunday, 30th June. Strickland retained the World title by defeating Roderick Strong in the main event at this week’s Dynamite.
Ospreay has been 12-1 since joining AEW in 2024. His only loss was in a tag team match, where he teamed up with Orange Cassidy to face Trent Beretta and Roderick strong on the Dynamite May 22.
Private Party, a guest on Chris Jericho TV Time, will also be featured in next week’s Dynamite.
The June 12 Dynamite will emanate from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. The announced card for the show:
