WWE Clash at The Castle adds Women’s Championship Match in todays Wrestling news
Bayley will defend her WWE Women’s Championship at Clash at Castle.
WWE announced late Friday that Piper Niven would challenge Bayley for the WWE Women’s Title at Clash at the Castle, set for Saturday, 15 June in Glasgow, Scotland.
Niven and Chelsea Green attacked Bayley in an angle on Friday’s SmackDown as Bayley was making her way to the ring to witness Nia Jax’s Queen of the Ring crowning. Green announced Niven’s intent to take Bayley’s title.
Niven and Green defeated Bayley and Naomi in tag-team action, with Green pinning Naomi. The storyline was that Bayley wasn’t 100 percent after the earlier attack.
The Women’s Championship Match will be the second match in Clash at Castle, following the Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre World Heavyweight Title bout. Both Niven, and McIntyre, are Scots.
