The ulcer is the reason for the postponement of one of the most anticipated sporting events of the summer.
The boxing match between Mike Tyson, the legendary boxer, and Jake Paul, the social media sensation turned fighter has been rescheduled. This is due to Tyson’s well-publicized recent ulcer flare-up.
Tyson, 58, was advised to do only minimal or light training in the coming weeks. This didn’t fit with his schedule before the fight with Paul, 27.
The fight will continue to air on Netflix, and will continue to emanate from AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas. A new date has been promised for next Friday.
The announcement of Tyson vs. Paul in early March was met with much surprise. It will be Tyson’s first fight since a November 2020 boxing exhibition with Roy Jones Jr., which was preceded a 15-year gap of inactivity.
