Ospreay officially signed with AEW on Saturday during AEW’s Full Gear. Ospreay said he wouldn’t start immediately because he had spent eight years in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He will finish his obligations there. He said he would begin in time for the AEW Revolution, which is usually held in early spring.

Tony Khan posted All Elite on X as soon as Ospreay appeared.

“It’s official! “@WillOspreay has ALL ELITE!” he wrote.
Sports Illustrated as well as Fightful both reported that Ospreay has a multi-year contract with the company.

Ospreay said in recent weeks he was looking at his options for his NJPW contract that expires next year and that he would like to come to the United States. He is set to wrestle in Wrestle Kingdom 18 where he will compete against David Finlay and Jon Moxley for a new championship that will replace IWGP United States/United Kingdom.

Ospreay, who has wrestled for AEW in the past, was on Saturday’s show. His most notable match was at All In in August, when he defeated Chris Jericho.
