Tony Khan donates $100k to charity in support of NFL Draft neck brace in todays Show_Type news
On Wednesday, Tony Khan and AEW donated $100,000 to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Khan and AEW were the subject of a lot of media attention last month, when the AEW President appeared at the NFL Draft wearing a neck brace. Khan promised Rich Eisen during an interview that he would auction the neck brace and donate the proceeds to St. Jude’s via Eisen’s RunRichRun charitable organization.
Khan was a guest again on The Rich Eisen Show today. He said that instead he would donate $100,000 to St. Jude’s and the neckbrace could remain on Eisen’s set.
Khan also made controversial statements about WWE after the NFL Draft took place in April. During an appearance on The NFL Network, he called his competitors a “really wicked juggernaut”. He called WWE “Harvey Weinstein” of pro wrestling. Khan later told TMZ that his comments gained a lot media coverage for AEW.
