Arn Anderson will leave AEW by the end of this month.
Anderson announced in his podcast that his contract ended on May 31. He said he wanted more time to spend with his son Brock Anderson who worked for AEW, but was no longer employed after last fall. Anderson thanked Tony Khan, who had been with the company for the past four years.
“The limited amount of time I have left, I want to spend it with Brock. I think Brock is a great player and has a lot of potential,” he said. “I’m going to spend my time on getting him some experience. If he does what I hope and think he will do, it won’t be long.” So I just wanted say thank you Tony.”
He also thanked the backstage crew, including Billy Gunn Dean Malenko and Jerry Lynn.
“I just wanted to say thank-you.” I appreciate everything. I appreciate everyone who works there. All my friends, Tony Schiavone JR, all those boys, all the talent. Dean [Malenko], Billy Gunn and the whole crew. Jerry [Lynn], everyone was great. “I just want to thank you and say goodbye.”
Anderson joined AEW as a coach to Cody Rhodes in 2019. When Rhodes left AEW 2022, he managed his son.
