Adam Copeland is injured.

The 50-year old jumped from the top of a cage and landed with his feet first during Sunday’s match against Malakai Black, at AEW Double Or Nothing. He revealed in a video on social media that he had a broken tibia and would need surgery.

Copeland in the video says: “I got cocky because I was having so much fun and I felt really good.”

“My brain forgets that I am 50 and need to make better decisions,” he said. “My body broke down on me the other evening and I fractured my tibia. This will require surgery. Don’t know when that will be.”

Copeland said he hopes to learn more next week about how long he will be out of action.

“He decided to leap off and land on feet, and that was a very long way down. He landed on his own feet and it appeared as if he paid for it.” It’s one of those things. No matter how old you are, you shouldn’t be jumping off a cage to land on your feet.

“It was almost as if he was unsure of what he was going to do when he came back down. I think that was the kiss of death.” “Instead he splashed he decided to do this elbow, but he didn’t want to do the whole elbow and that was the problem.” He could have still hurt his hip if he had done a full elbow.
