WWE SmackDown announces Nia Jax’s coronation and Cody Rhodes’ appearance in todays Wrestling news
WWE has announced that the first two segments of the Friday, May 31, SmackDown episode will be released.
Nia Jax, who defeated Lyra Valkyria at the tournament finals on Saturday’s PLE will be crowned Queen of the Ring during Friday’s SmackDown.
Jax defeated Naomi, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair to win this year’s Queen of the Ring Tournament.
Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Champion, will also be appearing on Friday’s episode.
Rhodes retained his title after a win over United States Champion Logan Paul in a King & Queen of the Ring bout where Paul’s championship was not at stake. WWE teased in a video for Friday’s episode that we’ll find out what’s next for Rhodes.
The MVP Arena in Albany, New York will host Friday’s SmackDown. The current lineup for the show:
