WWE announces date for Crown Jewel 2024 in todays Wrestling news
WWE has confirmed the date of its next Saudi Arabia show.
WWE King & Queen of the Ring took place in Jeddah on Saturday. Crown Jewel 2024, which will be held in Riyadh from Saturday November 2, was announced during the broadcast. The event will be streamed live on Peacock/WWE Network.
Crown Jewel has been held every year except 2020 (due the COVID-19 pandemic). WWE signed a long-term agreement with the Saudi government in that year. It received an estimated $50 million per show. WWE currently holds two Saudi Arabia shows each year.
Mark Shapiro, a TKO executive, said during an earnings call earlier in the month that WWE still has a “very, very strong” relationship with Saudi Arabia, despite Vince McMahon not being involved with it. Shapiro credited WWE president Nick Khan for maintaining this relationship.
Saudi Arabia hopes to host WrestleMania 2026 or the Royal Rumble 2027.
