Nia Jax is crowned WWE Queen of the Ring in todays Wrestling news
Nia Jax will be heading to SummerSlam in order to compete for the WWE Women’s Championship.
Jax was crowned WWE Queen of the Ring after defeating Lyra Vakyria on Saturday in the finals of the tournament. Jax will also receive a WWE Women’s World Championship Match at SummerSlam in August, along with the Queen of the Ring title. Bayley is currently the champion.
Jax won the Queen of the Ring Tournament, beating Naomi, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair and Valkyria. Valkyria was a recent NXT Call-Up who desperately tried to beat the more powerful Jax. Jax blocked her sunset flip powerbomb at the end of the match and crushed Valkyria using the Annihilator.
Paul “Triple H’ Levesque entered into the ring after the match and presented Jax her crown. Levesque sent her a tweet congratulating Jax.
SummerSlam will be held in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, August 3rd. Bayley could defend her title against Piper Niven at Clash at the Castle, in Scotland, this June.
