Will Ospreay would like to see Ricochet show everyone just how good he really is.
In the 2010s Ospreay’s and Ricochet’s in-ring competition helped them define themselves as two of the most high-flying athletes of their generation. Their careers will forever be linked. Ospreay, who wrestles for different promotions, told Comicbook.com he still keeps in touch with Ricochet. Ospreay finds it “a little sad” that Ricochet’s WWE use is so blatant.
“I follow [Ricochet] constantly and sometimes it makes me sad.” The AEW star said, “I hope he is not sad and that he is really happy.” “I try to keep up with him, but I think people are forgetting about Ricochet’s past. All of the high-flyers you see, including myself, were inspired by PAC and Ricochet.
Ospreay, referring to Ricochet as the first WWE Speed Champion said that it is appalling that WWE values Ricochet’s performance at less than five minutes. WWE Speed is a series that airs exclusively on X/Twitter. The matches have a time limit of three or five minutes.
“I find it appalling that they only value the time he spends under five minutes,” Ospreay stated. “I want people to remember him. Look at Dragon Gate Ricochet from 2012-2013. He was untouchable. I don’t even know how long he’s got left on his contract. I think that it will be up soon. I want him know that people here appreciate his work, and I want to wrestle with him again. I want him to come back. I want him to understand that there is no bar. “You are the f*cking f*cking f*cking f*cking b****.”
Ricochet, in addition to being the Speed Champion is also a member of WWE Raw. He appeared in a segment on Raw with Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov and others earlier this week. Breakker slashed Ricochet backstage with a spear.
Ospreay said to Comicbook.com, that when it comes high-flyers he places Ricochet at the same level as Rey Mysterio. Ospreay believes Ricochet should take the chance to bet on himself if it is presented.
Ospreay stated, “I would like to see him have more time to show himself the way I saw him.” “He is one of the best, and I think he should take the chance to bet on himself if it presents itself. I think he should tell himself that he is one of the greatest high-flyers ever. “If it means he has to come for me, do it, boss. I’m waiting right here for you.”
In November of last year, Ospreay signed a multiyear contract with AEW. He began the promotion in full-time this year. Ospreay is going to try and win the AEW gold this Sunday when he takes on Roderick Strong in the International Championship at Double or Nothing.
