Women’s Tag Title Match set for WWE King & Queen of the Ring Pre-show in todays Wrestling news
The pre-show of WWE King & Queen of the Ring will feature a championship match.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will defend their title for the first time against Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. The two-hour Countdown to King & Queen of the Ring will stream live this Saturday at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. Michael Cole, Corey Graves Big E, Kayla braxton, and Wade Barrett are panelists at the pre-show.
SmackDown on Friday set up the Women’s Tag Team Title match. On this episode, Belair lost against Nia Jax during the Queen of the Ring semi-finals. After the match, LeRae & Hartwell mocked Belair backstage. Cargill then stepped up to defend Belair.
Cargill said that she would speak to Nick Aldis regarding a tag-match against LeRae & Hartwell. It was confirmed later in the show.
Belair’s storyline injury to her knee was used in the Belair vs. Jax SmackDown match. Belair’s injured knee caused her loss, as she gave out when she tried to hit Jax with the KOD.
Cargill & Belair took the WWE Women’s Tag Team title from Asuka & Kairi-Sane three weeks ago at Backlash.
The team that leaves King & Queen of the Ring holding the Women’s Tag Team title will face Shayna Bassler & Zoey stark for a title defense. Baszler & Stark were the winners of a number-one contender’s match on Raw last Monday.
The King & Queen Of The Ring is held in Jeddah. The main card starts at 1 p.m. Eastern.
