WWE King & Queen of the Ring Winners Earn SummerSlam Title Shots in todays Wrestling news
Triple H says the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments have “just gotten more exciting”.
WWE’s Chief content officer revealed at an event held in Saudi Arabia on Friday that the winners of both tournaments will receive world title shots during SummerSlam, which takes place on August 3rd in Cleveland.
Triple H said:
“In the past, the King and Queen Of The Ring, it was an honor to be a part of that tournament and win it on your own. To have that launch you into another place. But I wanted this tournament to stand on its own so I didn’t announce this until we arrived. I will let you all know tonight that the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring winners will receive championship matches under their respective brands. They will both receive world title shots at SummerSlam, either WWE or World title.”
The final semifinal matches of the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments will be played on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown in Jeddah. The final semifinal matches are Tama tonga vs. Randy Orton, and Nia Jax against Bianca Belair. Gunther Valkyria and Lyra Vakyria have already qualified to the finals. Chelsea Green vs. Bayley, and The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa vs. Tonga Loa. The Street Profits will also be featured on the show.
