Big E has been cast in an acting role.
He has been cast in the upcoming Peacock Comedy Series “Laid.”
Stephanie Hsu is the executive producer of this project. She received an Oscar nomination for Everything Everywhere At Once. She will also be leading a cast which includes Zosia Mmet (The Flight Attendant), Michael Angarano, (Oppenheimer), Tommy Martinez, (Good Trouble).
Nahnatchka Khan is also an executive producer, writer and writer for the project. She is the sister to WWE President Nick Khan and worked on Peacock’s “Young Rock” series from 2021-2023. She has written for American Dad, Fresh off the Boat and Don’t Trust the B— In Apartment 23. Khan also directed Ali Wong’s 2022 comedy, “Don Wong.”
Deadline reported that seven other guest stars for the series were announced on Wednesday. The list includes Chloe Fineman from SNL, The Office’s David Denman and Finneas O’Connell. Also included are actor/model Indya, John Early, Olivia Holt and Andre Hyland, who stars in HBO’s Barry.
Buchwald and Bad Toro Management represent Big E.
“Laid” is the story of a woman, who discovers that all of her former lovers are dying in strange ways. Deadline described it as “a f*cked up rom-com” where the answer to the question, “Why can’t i find love, is something wrong with me?” is a resounding, “Yes, there is.” The problem is you” is based on an Australian series of the exact same name from 2011.
