Seven matches announced for AEW Dynamite in todays Wrestling news
Just days before Double or Nothing, AEW revealed the card for AEW Dynamite’s go-home edition.
Swerve Strickland and Nick Wayne will fight before Christian Cage defends his AEW World title next week. They have a long history together, as Strickland was the one who bloodied Wayne in his father’s gym.
Hook will face Katsuyori shibata and Bryan Keith to determine who the next contender is for Chris Jericho. Hook has made clear that he wants to reclaim the title, but Jericho said on Wednesday that Hook would have to prove himself.
Hook was the first qualifier, beating Johnny TV. Shibata entered the arena as he was leaving to face Rocky Romero. He won. Keith was the final qualifier, and he quickly beat Boulder with diamond dust.
Kyle O’Reilly will have a chance to wrestle Malakai Black, who was laid by the House of Black for trying to save Adam Copeland. This is before Black challenges Copeland in Double or Nothing, a steel cage match with barbed wire, for the TNT Championship.
Satnam Singh will also be facing Bryan Danielson. The Righteous and Lance Archer, who appeared to be on orders from The Elite, laid out FTR in Collision. Danielson confirmed that he will be on Dynamite. Sonjay Dutt revealed on Ramapge that Danielson will face Singh.
Orange Cassidy, Will Ospreay and Trent Beretta will also be joining forces to face Roderick Strong and Trent Beretta, who were their opponents in Double or Nothing. Toni Storm, Mariah May and Harley Cameron will take on Saraya and Harley Cameron. Both Storm and May have won against Cameron in the past two weeks. Konosuke takes on Matt Sydal and we hear from the Bang Bang Gang. We’ll also get a preview of Willow Nightingale vs Mercedes Mone in the TBS Championship.
