Paul Walter Hauser, a multi-award winning actor, hopes to portray Mick Foley as part of upcoming projects.

In an interview with The Wrap Hauser revealed he has become friends with Foley, and that he has been in talks with the Hardcore Legend regarding possibly playing him in a movie or miniseries. Hauser is an avid wrestling fan and has also competed in the ring on occasion.

Hauser said, “I am literally talking to Mick Foley about the possibility of playing him in either a movie or a limited series.” “I don’t know which or how, but I have become friends with him.” I think that he knows it could be a brilliant idea to cast me as him.

Hauser has won an Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award. The three awards were given to Hauser for his work on Apple TV+’s “Black Bird”.

Hauser, who is such a wrestling fan, has been approached about acting projects related to wrestling. Hauser wants to be sure that the story is real and not just done because he is a fan.

“A couple people have approached to me to possibly play different wrestlers for different projects. For me, I have to make sure there’s a story there and that I’m doing it not just because I’m fan,” Hauser said.

“I have to look like the guy.” I don’t believe I’ll be playing Steve Austin. But I could play a Mick Foley, or a Jim Neidhart.

Hauser has appeared for AEW, ROH and was a special guest on a 2019 WWE Backstage episode. Hauser made his debut in the ring at a Wrestling Revolver show in November last year. He’s worked four indie matches in total.

This week, it was announced that Hauser would debut for MLW in Atlanta at Battle Riot VI on Saturday June 1. The show will be broadcast live on YouTube for free.

Foley, 58, had been considering coming out from retirement to play one final match as a way to lose weight and celebrate his 60th birthday. Foley’s plans were canceled after he suffered a concussion. Last month, he gave an update saying that his concussion has subsided and that his condition is improving.
