AEW partners with City of Arlington to produce six-show AEW Summer Series in todays Wrestling news
This summer, there will be six wrestling matches under the AEW/ROH umbrella in Arlington, Texas.
The AEW announced a historic partnership with Arlington on Thursday. Five episodes of AEW Collision, and the ROH Death Before Dishonor Pay-per-View will be held at Arlington’s Esports Arena.
Esports Arena, a 100,000-square foot venue that can hold up to 2500 people for gaming events. Khan told The Dallas News his company has an “exciting plan” to use the esports arena to make it a home for pro wrestling.
Khan said, “We’ve found ways to use venues that have never hosted wrestling in the past, and I’m sure that we’ll do that again here at Arlington.”
“We are delighted to partner with Arlington for AEW’s first-ever event at Esports Stadium. This AEW Summer Series will add to the rich tradition of major professional wrestler events held in Texas and serve as a springboard for AEW All In London at Wembley Stadium on August 25, Khan said in a press release. This partnership would not be possible without the support of Matt Wilson and Justin Grimsley, as well as the Arlington Sports Commission, City of Arlington, and our incredibly passionate fans throughout Texas.

- Saturday, July 20 – AEW: Collision
- Friday, July 26 – ROH: Death Before Dishonor
- Saturday, July 27 – AEW: Collision
- Thursday, August 1 – AEW: Collision (Taped to air Saturday, August 3)
- Saturday, August 10 – AEW: Collision
- Saturday, August 17 – AEW: Collision

Arlington Sports Commission executive Director Matt Wilson told The Dallas News that “this is a partnership and this is a great deal to showcase not just that building but also showcase Arlington”.
“I think that the excitement of being able be up close and personally in a smaller venue such as this creates some excitement for fans to be there.” So, I am very confident in my ability to sell [tickets] for a large number shows and sell them well.”
