Darby Allin replaces Eddie Kingston at AEW double or nothing in todays Wrestling news
Darby Allin replaces Eddie Kingston.
Eddie Kingston was ruled out of Double or Nothing on Wednesday after sustaining a leg injury on Friday at NJPW Resurgence. The Elite, Bryan Danielson and Cash Wheeler began a brawl after the main event between Kazuchika Ohada and Daxharwood. Allin then came to the rescue and saved FTR & Danielson. He is now officially the fourth man on FTR’s team.
After the announcement that Kingston would not be playing in the match on the 26th of May in Las Vegas, Kingston posted a photo on Instagram with a large leg brace confirming his injury.
Dynamite aired footage from Resurgence where Kingston smacked a leg on a barricade, after taking a suplex from Gabe Kidd. Kidd defeated Kingston and won the Strong Openweight Title. After the match, Jack Perry and The Young Bucks attacked Kingston. The Elite reacted to the footage and predicted that FTR and Danielson were going to fight 3 on 4 or forfeit the Double or Nothing match.
Allin has not been in action since AEW Big Business, in March, when he broke his leg during a match with Jay White. He wrote on Instagram during his recovery that he had also been hit by a car.
