Tyler Bate advances to the next round of the WWE Speed number 1 contender’s tournament in todays Wrestling news
WWE aired a new episode of Speed on Tuesday.
This week’s episode featured the second match of the opening round in a tournament that will determine who will challenge Ricochet for the Speed Championship. Ivar defeated Apollo Crews last week in the first match of the opening round.
Tyler Bate won this week’s episode. He used a victory roll, pinning Berto (FKA Humberto Carrillo), with only eight seconds left in the three minute time limit. He will now face Ivar in the next round. The winner of this match will then challenge Ricochet to the title.
In a tournament that was designed to determine the first WWE Speed Champion, Ricochet defeated Dragon Lee, JD McConagh, and Johnny Gargano.
Paul “Triple H’ Levesque teased upcoming women’s matches at WWE Speed in a recent interview. Levesque stated that WWE Speed is an exciting challenge for men during a Q&A session on X. It’s an exciting challenge, and eventually it will be for the women too.
