John Cena will host one of the biggest television events of the summer.
Cena was announced as the host of Shark Week in 2024 on Thursday. The show will begin on the Discovery Channel Sunday, July 7th. Cena tweeted he was “thrilled to host” the week of Shark themed programming.
The premiere of Belly of the Beast Pt. The second episode of the show is an intense and eye opening show that explores the world of great-white shark feeding frenzy. Monster Hammerhead: Species X is a fascinating exploration of a possible new species of hammerheads. Also, Great White Serial Killer – Sea of Blood is a gripping story about a great black shark that is causing havoc in the local village.
Shark Week is an annual event that has been broadcasting since 1988. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson hosted the 2022 Shark Week. Last year, actor Jason Momoa was the host.
Cena appeared in the Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes Undisputed WWE championship match at WWE WrestleMania 40, last month. Cena helped Rhodes to win the title when he fought off interference from The Bloodline.
Cena appeared on Raw’s post-WrestleMania episode as a surprise guest. He teamed up with The Miz & R Truth to defeat Dominik Balor, Finn Balor & JD McConagh.
Cena hopes to return to WWE for “one final run” after Christmas. Cena plans to retire from in-ring competition by the time he turns 50.
