Vince McMahon files a new ‘Statement Undisputed Material Facts” in Janel Grant’s lawsuit in todays Wrestling news

Vince McMahon’s attorneys have filed an updated “Statement of Material Facts”, in support of his motion for arbitration.

The court filing released Wednesday stated that the facts McMahon presented are ‘undisputed’ and he reserves his right to introduce further evidence.

The new filing states that “Defendant believes that the material facts listed below are undisputed and resolve the forum dispute before this Court conclusively.” “Should it be necessary for the Court to conduct a hearing, Defendant respectably reserves his right to present additional evidence that bears witness credibility, sophistication and state of mind.”

According to the filing McMahon had a three-year romance with Grant that ended in January of 2022. Grant “negotiated” the monetary compensation that McMahon had offered, which ranged from one million to three million dollars, before their attorneys were involved.

Grant’s lawyer sent a revised draft agreement on January 27, 2022. It included the following:

Before taking any formal legal action, the parties agree that they will first try to resolve any disputes arising out of or under this Agreement, including its construction, interpretation or application, performance, or breach. All parties agree that if any dispute cannot be resolved by informal means, the only and exclusive legal remedy to resolve all disputes or controversies will be to initiate binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act according to the procedures of American Arbitration Association. This will take place in sealed proceedings to preserve the confidentiality and private nature of the Agreement. If and when a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to discuss a venue for the arbitration proceeding. However, if the parties are unable to agree on a location for the arbitration proceeding, then Stamford in Connecticut will be the exclusive venue. The arbitral tribunal will determine the prevailing party and the non-prevailing side will be entitled to recover all of the attorney’s fees, costs, and expenses.

The agreement also included a severability clause:

If any provision of this Agreement were to be declared void or unenforceable, by an arbitral panel or court reviewing a decision of arbitration, the remaining provisions would still be binding. However, Grant agrees to return to McMahon all money paid under this Agreement if she ever claims that the confidentiality obligations are unenforceable.

McMahon agreed that Grant would receive three million dollars in four years, up until February 1, 2026. McMahon signed and dated Grant’s agreement on January 28th, 2022. Ten days later McMahon made the first payment of $1 million.

McMahon’s lawyers filed on Monday a new memorandum opposing Grant’s motion to strike McMahon’s preliminary statement.
