Powerhouse Hobbs provides an injury update.
Hobbs has not been in action since he suffered an injury during his IWGP World Title match against Jon Moxley at the April 24, 2024 edition AEW Dynamite.
Hobbs posted on Monday a video of the first physical therapy session he had after undergoing surgery three weeks prior for a patellar injury.
Hobbs posted on X. “1st PT Session 3 Week Post-Op Patellar Tenon Repair”
During the match against Moxley, Hobbs charged his opponent at a corner but missed. He then landed on his right knee. Bryan Alvarez, our own Bryan Alvarez, confirmed the injury as legitimate. Fightful Select reported shortly thereafter that Hobbs would be expected to miss a significant amount of time.
On May 5, Hobbs sent the following message to X.
Not sure what to say. We deal with injuries that happen. We recalibrate, we rebuild, we reinvent. The real test of a comeback is its ability to succeed. I’ve heard that I will come back as if nothing ever happened.
Why am I so angry? Why am I feeling so disappointed? This is all a bunch of bullshit. After any injury, nobody is the same. The only option is to come back stronger.
As I sit on this Island of Darkness I have thousands of unanswered questions. The doctors tells me not to worry. Just HEAL, and RESTORE. They don’t realize that this is nothing in comparison to what I’ve gone through. You can be sure that when I return, I will bring Hell with me.
