Three wrestlers from the SmackDown side of the bracket have advanced to the quarterfinals of the WWE King of the Ring Tournament.
Carmell Hayes, Tama Tonga and Randy Orton won their first-round matches on Friday’s WWE SmackDown, advancing to the quarterfinals.
Tonga won a match in the first round on Friday, and Carmelo Hayes beat Baron Corbin to advance to the second round.
Hayes and Orton will meet in a quarterfinals on SmackDown next Friday, while Tonga takes on the winner of this weekend’s WWE House Shows’ first round match between Santos Escobar and LA Knight.
The King & Queen of the Ring PLE will host the finals of the King & Queen of the Ring tournaments on Saturday, 25 May in Saudi Arabia.
On Monday’s WWE Raw, the King of the Ring Tournament will continue with Jey Uso and Ilja Dragunov in the quarterfinals. Gunther will face the winner of the Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio home show match this weekend.
