WWE SmackDown adds Cody Rhodes, Hayes vs. Corbin and Cody Rhodes’ appearance in todays Wrestling news
WWE has also confirmed that Cody Rhodes is going to be on SmackDown this evening. Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Backlash last week against AJ Styles.

WWE has confirmed that there will be an additional match on tonight’s SmackDown.
Tonight, Carmelo Hayes and Baron Corbin will be on SmackDown. The King of the Ring tournament’s first round match will take place tonight.
Hayes and Corbin joined SmackDown from NXT in the 2024 WWE Draft. Hayes was a former NXT champion. Corbin has returned to the main roster following a stint with NXT which began last year.
Hayes and Bobby Lashley had a conversation last week, which ended with Lashley telling Hayes that he should be careful about who he disrespects.
Tonight, SmackDown will begin the first round of the King & Queen of the Ring Tournaments. The episode also features Angelo Dawkins vs. Tama tonga and Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles. Queen of the Ring matches tonight are Bianca Belair against Candice LeRae; Jade Cargill against Piper Niven; and Naomi vs. Nia Jax.
Lashley had been announced as Tonga’s opponent but WWE has stated that Lashley is no longer in the tournament due an injury.
Raw’s brackets started on Monday, with three wrestlers moving up in King of the Ring. Three wrestlers moved up in Queen of the Ring. Both tournaments will be concluded at WWE’s King & Queen of the Ring PLE on Saturday, 25 May.
Tonight’s SmackDown will be held at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre.
