Boa’s time at WWE officially ends on June 1.
Boa is ready for his next chapter, after nearly eight years in WWE.
Last week, it was revealed that Boa would be leaving WWE as part of a round NXT roster cut. He joined the company as one of seven Chinese recruits signed to developmental contracts following a tryout at Shanghai in 2016.
In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Boa announced that his time with WWE would officially end on June 1. He expressed his gratitude to the promotion for the time spent:
My time with WWE ends on 6/1 after an incredible 7-year adventure. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such amazing people and coaches. As I move on, I am excited for new career possibilities and deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me through the ups and downs of life. Here’s to embracing this next chapter with optimism and resilience! #Gratitude #NewBeginnings
Boa’s last televised WWE match took place in October 2023 on NXT Level Up. His most prominent role in NXT was as a Tian Sha member, a group that included Xia Ying and Mei Ying. (Now known as Wendy Choo for NXT).
Li, who was recruited in the same class as Boa was released by WWE last month.
Boa’s actual name is Yanbo Wang. He is originally from Beijing.
