AEW has hyped that Omega will make an “important announcement” this Wednesday on Dynamite. The episode will be held at Rogers Place, Edmonton, Alberta in Canada.
Omega returned to AEW programming last week on Dynamite, broadcast from Winnipeg. This was his first appearance on AEW since he was forced to leave the show in December 2023 because of diverticulitis. Omega will still need to undergo surgery.
The return of Omega on AEW TV came a week after Tony Khan had been attacked by The Elite. Khan is currently unable travel due to the attack. Omega said that as long as he holds the title of executive vice president, he can be a leader in AEW, and stand up to his fellow EVPs The Young Bucks.
The Elite then faced Omega. The Young Bucks slew him with an EVP trigger. FTR made the save, and The Elite was run off. The Elite threw over the stretcher Omega was on, causing further damage.
