Grizzled young veterans love that AEW celebrates’ wrestling in todays Wrestling news
The tag team recently spoke with Cultaholic.
During a recent podcast, the Grizzled Young Veterans talked about their AEW debut.
The Acclaimed defeated James Drake and Zack Gibson on the April 27th edition of AEW Collision. Drake stated that they are grateful for the way AEW “celebrates” wrestling and gives opportunities to good wrestlers during a recent interview on the Cultaholic Podcast.
Drake said:
We had a wonderful time (in AEW), and a great conversation with Tony. It’s the fact that it celebrates wrestling that I find so appealing about that place. It is a place that celebrates wrestling. You will get your roses if you can go.
Since a very long period of time, Zack and I have taken great pride in our physical appearance. I am 5’10 when I am at my best. I could get wider, but I won’t get taller. I hate that for so long in wrestling something as silly as height was able to determine your future. It’s silly when you think about the big picture.
Gibson said that when the Grizzled Youth Veterans left WWE in October last year, they stated that they wanted to work alongside the best talent and that they couldn’t achieve that without working with AEW.
Gibson said:
We said when we first came out that we wanted to be everywhere and work with all of the best talents. You can’t say that and not try to work at least with the AEW Tag Division because that division is stacked.
There are rumors about other people coming in, but regardless of who could potentially be in, look at the active division with, for example, Acclaimed FTR, Young Bucks. The list goes on. It’s top-tier tag teams who get the chance to shine, and show out, and do proper tag wrestling on TV. It’s a great place to start.
The crowd was a roaring reaction to everything. Milhouse, everything is going to be fine.
The Grizzled Youth Veterans have also started their own promotion. Burning Heart Pro Wrestling debuts on Friday, 21st June at the Liverpool Olympia, Liverpool, England.
“A venue with a rich history, a city that is unrivalled in its heart, and countless tears, sweat, blood, and sweat.” Gibson, when announcing the first show, said that there was no better place for Burning Heart to demonstrate what they were about: pro-wrestling from the heart.
