Backlash: Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair win the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles in todays Wrestling news
They defeated Asuka and Kairi Sane in Saturday’s event at Lyon, France.
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill won tag team gold in just their fourth appearance on television.
The new duo beat Damage CTRL’s Asuka and Kairi Sane to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Backlash. This is Cargill’s first title reign with WWE and the first time Belair was a tag-team champion in her career.
Cargill broke the pin after Asuka & Sane appeared to have won the match with an InSane Elbow against Belair. Cargill pinned Sane using Jaded. Then Belair dropped Asuka on Sane, using a KOD. Belair pinned Asuka for the titles.

This was Cargill’s sixth televised WWE match. Cargill joined WWE after leaving AEW in September last year. She made her WWE debut in January. WWE began pairing Belair & Cargill as a team before WrestleMania forty.
Belair & Cargill both were drafted to SmackDown at the 2024 WWE Draft. As Women’s Tag Team Champions they can appear on any brand. Asuka & Sane are now limited to Raw.
Asuka and Sane were champions ever since they won the Women’s Tag Team title from Kayden Carter and Katana Chance in the January 26 SmackDown episode.
