The NXT Tag Team championship match featured a number of main roster stars.
The second night of NXT’s Spring Breakin’ saw the main roster stars continue to make an impression.
Axiom, Nathan Frazer, and The Street Profits met with AOP before their NXT Tag Team Title match tonight. The Street Profits told them that their match against AOP would hurt tonight, but that they had the opportunity to prove to the world they belonged.
Karrion Kross of the Final Testament and Scarlett got involved at the end of the match, grabbing Axiom while he was on top of the rope. Referee booted them out of the ringside. The distraction allowed New Catch Republic to attack Rezar (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate). Frazer then superkicked Akam, and Axiom was able to roll him up to win.
Michin appeared again during the second night Spring Breakin’ to claim the new NXT Women’s North American Championship. Next week, a combine will be held to determine the 12 participants for upcoming qualifying matches. Six of the six who win these matches will move on to the ladder match, which will crown NXT Battleground’s first champion.
NXT Spring Breakin’ featured more main roster stars. Oba Femi retained the NXT North American Title by defeating Ivar, while The OC (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) defeated Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe. In the main event Lola Vice defeated Natalya thanks to Shayna Basszler’s interference, who seconded Vice.
